Updating the iOS App to the Latest Version

This article teaches you how to update ACP Tools app to the latest version on your iOS device.

When do you release new versions of the app?

We periodically release new versions of the ACP Tools App for iOS.  These releases include performance enhancements, bug fixes and new features.  

Turn On Automatic Updates

You can turn on automatic updates on iPhones and iPads so that you can receive updates automatically.  When your device is connected to Wi-Fi (or cellular data if the update is under 50MB) the update can silently download in the background. 

You can enable automatic updates by going to Settings → App Store from the home screen on your device(s). 

Then turn on App Updates.

How will I know if an update is available?

There are a few ways to see if an update is available. If you followed the steps above for automatic updates, you can ignore this section.

The App Store Icon

The App Store icon on your home screen will show a red badge with the number of updates available for download.

Searching the App Store

The latest version of the app will always be shown in the App store.  Searching for "ACP Tools" will reveal the app, screenshots, and a button to install.  This install button may look different depending on your situation. 

Never Downloaded

Tapping "Get" will download the app for free and add it to your purchase history.

Update Available

Tapping "Update" will download the latest available.

Installed and Up-to-Date

Tapping "Open" will open the latest version that is currently installed on your device.

Previously Downloaded but Not Installed

You may have obtained the app with your current account, but it may not be installed on your device.  In this case, you will see a "Cloud Icon" and not a "GET".  Tapping the "Cloud Icon" will download the latest version to your device.
